Monroe incorporates a balance of well established, executive housing and new, more compact neighborhoods that promote a feeling of community. A vast selection of townhouses and condominium developments has surfaced in recent years to accommodate a growing population. Monroe's condos and townhomes typically range in price from $100,000 to $330,000 depending on size, structure and location. Two-, three- and four-bedroom homes for sale in quiet neighborhoods near schools and local businesses range in price from $100,000 to $500,000 and more. Buyers seeking larger properties in Monroe's affluent subdivisions can expect prices to range between the mid-$500,000s to upwards of $1 million. Monroe Real Estate Stats and Trends for the week of March 26th, 2018: homes priced around $314,877 compared to $335,493 the previous week, showing a decrease of less than -7%.  For Thursday, March 29th, the current national mortgage rate for a 30 year fixed mortgage is 4.25%; the 15 year fixed rate is at 3.66%. For a loan larger than conventional conforming loans, or 'jumbo' loan, the 30 year rate is 4.40%, while the 15 year jumbo rate currently is at 4.12%.
